A Vintage Winter Elopement in Nice
An elopement editorial with Ophélie & Alessandro, imagining a winter “I do” in Nice for two free spirits.

Nice. This is the city I know by heart, far from the polished clichés of the French Riviera, and the place where I imagined this editorial. Long before it became a perfectly curated luxury destination, Nice attracted a different kind of gaze, one that was freer, a little rebellious.
People know Nice for its luxury villas, sophisticated weddings and picture-perfect lifestyle that can sometimes feel out of reach. I wanted to bring back a little simplicity and authenticity, because that’s part of its identity too.
A couple celebrating their love on their own terms. A wedding day that doesn’t try to fit into the traditional rulebook. A shoot that’s spontaneous, full of life and just a little bit rebellious, because that’s what love looks like when it’s truly lived.
I wanted the real city to become part of the story: the locals, the shopkeepers, everyday life, the iconic views as much as the little imperfections that make Nice what it is. To tell something honest, vibrant and real.
Nothing is staged. Everything happens in the moment. We choose the outfits that same day, buy seasonal flowers at the market, follow the light without a plan, stop to hug friends we run into in the street, and share a cold beer simply because it feels right.
Visually, my work has always lived somewhere between documentary photography and editorial imagery.
